We are a husband and wife team who enjoy welcoming our guests to both, The Boathouse and our next door family home The Wagtail Lodge to make them feel at home.

Property info

Located one mile from the picturesque village of Catterline, the Boathouse offers impeccable accommodation set in the spectacular Aberdeenshire countryside. It is a delightful upside-down house specially designed to take advantage of the breath-taking views. The upper floor is a continuous lounge /kitchen/ diner, - perfect for family time, with an open gable to watch the fantastic wildlife and keep you entertained every minute of the day. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs and a further shower room on the upstairs level.

Neighborhood info

We are in an area which is ideal for walking or cycling to breath in the cool country air. The beauty of the clifftop Catterline village is within walking distance, as is the RSPB nature reserve at Fowlsheugh where you can see around 130,000 seabirds during nesting season. Puffins, dolphins and the occasional minke whale may also be spotted. The historic ruins of Dunnotar castle are a short drive away just before Stonehaven. Heading south is the land of Lewis Grassic Gibbon at Arbuthnott and beyond that one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland at St Cyrus
