The house is 140 years old and was built 1876 by Mr Daniel Pope. Daniel Pope was the sail maker in Stornoway. The house is only 2 - 3 minutes walk from the town centre. I only let out one room, so guests have the whole top floor of the house to themselves. it is very quiet and private.

As well as running the Dragonfly, I am also a guitar teacher and musician. I play in several bands at the moment - a 22 piece jazz orchestra, a jazz quintet and a busy rock band, where we play at lots of weddings and functions.

Despite being in the centre of Stornoway, the area is very quiet. Shops and supermarket are close by. There are also many bars and restaurants which you can visit.
