Situated inside an ancient rath(hence the name) the rathbarn consists of two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and upstairs living area. Centrally heated and beautifully decorated with pine ceilings, doors and furnishings. Access to the building is by a traditionally styled half door, with a side entrance through the kitchen by a patio door. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, electric hob and fan assisted oven. The kitchen also includes an old style solid fuel stove. Stairs from the kitchen lead to an upstairs sitting area with sofa and easy chairs. This sitting room has TV points and a well stocked bookshelf. This room has beautiful views of Derryleckagh lake and the South Armagh and Cooley Mountains. A rural location in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains yet only a relatively small distance from nearby towns, as Newry and Warrenpoint are approximately 5 miles away. Approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from Dublin airport and 45 to 60 minutes from the Belfast airports.
