The Three Pickerels is a recently renovated building in the quaint village of Mepal in Cambridgeshire alongside the picturesque New Bedford River. Adjacent to the pub gardens are acres of meadow land often frequented by roaming cattle and horses. The family owned business is run by sisters Emily and Molly. A family-run Hotel, Restaurant & Bar set alongside the New Bedford River in Mepal, 8 miles from Ely. The Three Pickerels accommodation offers countryside and river views with free WiFi. Recently renovated the hotel boasts 10 individually decorated rooms each with a wall-mounted flat-screen smart TV, spacious en-suite bathrooms, an espresso coffee machine and tea facilities. Each room has its own unique charm with some offering spacious lounge areas, a dressing room, stunning riverside views and two rooms with riverside balconies. All guests can enjoy our spacious and comfortable downstairs rooms from our wood fired lounge area, modern bar, glass fronted riverside restaurant or even dine alfresco on our new decking area overlooking the river. Dine in our restaurant to delight in the full Three Pickerels experience, serving pub classics to al a carte food and watch the sunrise over the river whilst you enjoy your cooked to order breakfast with us, this can be added to your booking upon arrival. Please note that the pub (restaurant & bar) is closed from Sunday at 7pm until Wednesday lunchtime. There are a couple of local pubs open for dinner on these evenings which we would be happy to share with you, and you can still have breakfast with us every morning of your stay. The Three Pickerels Pub is situated in the quaint village of Mepal set alongside The New Bedford River. The river is a by-pass channel of the River Great Ouse. The area is best known for its wildlife including migrant wild fowl, whiter than white swans and freshwater seals. To experience all this, there are a number of country walks that you can go on including The Mepal Way. Other attractions include Ely Cathedral, Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve and Cambridge City Centre.
