The Viking's Retreat is a modern open plan self contained mini-cottage that sleeps two, located in the lovely village of Donington-on-Bain in the very heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The retreat overlooks The Viking Way, a 147 mile national trail that starts on the banks of the River Humber and finishes at Oakham in Rutland, walk out of the garden gate and you're now standing on the Viking Way, turn right for Tealby and Walesby or turn left for Goulceby, Horncastle and beyond.

Vikings Retreat is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and sits on the Viking Way. It is a short distance from Lincoln and the east coast resorts of Skegness, Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes. Cadwell Park is 4 miles away. The picturesque towns of Market Rasen, Louth and Horncastle are just 15 minutes away by car. The Retreat is situated in a village with a pub that serves food from Wednesdays to Sundays, two shops and a post office. It is an ideal base for walking, cycling, visiting the horse racing at Market Rasen or the motorbike racing at Cadwell Park, or just peaceful relaxation in the countryside.
