Founded by siblings Nino and Giorgi, our guesthouse sits on the legacy of our grandfather, Akaki, who once ran the historic Tsinandali Railway Station right beside us. Every window here opens to Kakheti’s soul. To the north, the Caucasus Mountains tower over the Alazani Valley; to the south, the Gombori Mountains rise above endless vineyards. We are surrounded by local wineries, and our aunt and uncle live just next door, ensuring you are enveloped in genuine Georgian hospitality from the moment you arrive. When you stay with us, we welcome you into our actual family home to share the true rhythm of our culture, from homemade food to stories shared over a glass of our own wine.

I’m Nino, and managing Rails & Vines is deeply personal to me. This guesthouse began as a way to sustain our family home while my mother, Nona, underwent cancer treatment. Today, she is thankfully healthy and cancer-free, and we are overjoyed that she will soon be joining us back here to welcome guests. I was born and raised in Tsinandali, and I love sharing our rich local history and culture with those who visit. To make your stay even more special, my husband (also named Giorgi!) is a professional winemaking specialist. Together, we make sure our guests experience the very best authentic wines Kakheti has to offer. We can't wait to welcome you to our family table.

Tsinandali is the historic heart of Georgia’s wine country, and our guests fall in love with its slow, peaceful rhythm. We are just a short distance from the famous Prince Alexander Chavchavadze House-Museum, a stunning 19th-century estate with lush botanical gardens and an ancient wine cellar where Georgian wine was first bottled in the European style. The village is surrounded by boutique wineries and one of the region’s largest historic wine factories, making it incredibly easy to book tours and tastings. However, what our guests truly cherish the most is the simple, quiet magic of walking freely through the surrounding vineyards, glass in hand, watching the sun set over the towering Caucasus Mountains.
