The cottage has 27 sq. m. of living space, including a living room with a dining table, a comfy sofa and a well-stocked multi-lingual bookshelf. There is bedroom with a double-bad. You can cook full-course meals in the well-furnished kitchen. Isikkivik has a compost toilet, but there is no shower. A modern electric heater keeps the place nice and cozy on cold days.
Although Narsaq is only 30 kilometers away from the ice cap, and icebergs can be seen drifting in the fjord all year long, the landscape literally explodes into bloom in summer. Narsaq boasts an excellent tourist infrastructure. There are a number of supermarkets and convenience stores, a restaurant at the hotel and two bars. You can buy the catch of the day at the fish market.
