Welcome to Bendula Bed & Breakfast. We offer accomodation in Gambia, off the beaten track of hectic tourist scene. Consisting of 5 African style huts we can house up to 10 people. There is tranquility & the best nature has to offer. Check in after hour regular hours can be arranged individually. If guests arrive late at Banjul airport for instance, check in is still possible in combination with an airport pick up. Please get in touch so we can plan ahead.
The place is privately owned and located in the village of Batakunku, between Tanji and Sanyang, close to one of the most beautifull beaches of Gambia. Untouched woods lead down the Atlantic coast and give shelter to several kinds of apes. The lakes, well hidden in the woods give good opportunity to spot rare birds. The 12 miles long beach invites you for long walks. 10 minutes away from the lodge, you can catch a bushtaxi to Serrekunda & Gunjur. That way it is possible to travel all parts of the country: Serrekunda 20 km, Banjul 35 km, Airport 40 km, Tanji 3 km, Sanyang 10 km & Kololi 18 km.
We offer activities & trips such as music, drum & dance lessons, individually tailored trips to the forest or village, birdwatching, traditional massages and locally grown herbal remedies from a traditional African healer.
