At the Ikarian Centre, we offer Greek language courses for non-native speakers combined with accommodation. The guesthouse was built to host our Greek lessons and our students. We support self-guided hikes for our visitors throughout all seasons, except for August.

Direct contact with nature, tranquility, and the mountain and sea views surrounding the guesthouse are the main characteristics of staying here. On clear nights, you can enjoy the spectacle of the Milky Way and the starry sky. The area is ideal for hiking and bird-watching. Ιn August, you must have your own means of transport, as we do not offer activities or transfers. During other periods, a vehicle is not necessary, as you can participate in our activity program and self-guided hikes in the local mountains.The guesthouse includes common areas for working, dining, studying, or relaxing. Each room has a separate outdoor entrance, a private bathroom, and a kitchenette, and can accommodate up to 2 people, adults or children.We are located on the mountain, away from settlements, surrounded by the natural mountain environment; therefore, there is NO air conditioning or television. There is natural ventilation and a fan in all rooms, and the nights are cool and quiet enough for a good night's sleep, provided you don't keep the windows tightly closed all day. Heating is available for colder periods. There is also free Wi-Fi (approx. 30mb upload/download). Thus, if you wish to work online, you can use the common workspaces and the high-speed internet available everywhere.

In Arethousa, a settlement of 100 inhabitants (1.5Km, 15 minutes by foot) you can find a cafe and a tavern. In Karavostamo (3Km, less than 10' by car and 50' by foot) several taverns, grocery stores, cafes and bars operate all year round. The port of northern Ikaria, Evdilos, is 8 Km away.
