It is a circa 1880 stone bult mansion, fully redecorated with central heating and cozy atmosphere. It is nestles in the lower part of Makrinitsa tradional settlement, away from the traffic and street noise, as you have to walk up a tradional stone paved path to reach it. The stream below and the nightingales will keep you company while sitting in the yard with a great view of Volos below.

A teacher of English and photographer, currently working in a private school and giving computer processing photography classes, also organizing sight seeing tours of Mt Pelio at an extra charge. Will be happy to burn the traditional wood oven and cook for you lamb with potatoes and show you around.

Makrinitsa is one of the traditional Greek villages, about 9 klm from Volos. It follows very strict construction rules, thus preserving the nature of the area, restricting the use of cars and motorcycle. An ideal place to spend a quiet weekend, enjoying the whisper of the wind down the gorgeous ravine, the nigthingales in May and June and the frsehness of the atmosphere with almost zero humidity.
