Fossilized forest of Kerasia By the village Kerasia of Nileas municipality, exactly on the road to Istiaia a piece of land with geological and archaeological interest has been excavated and a fossilized forest has been brought to light revealing a paleontological treasure of ancient flora and fauna. Drymonas waterfalls You can enjoy the unique landscape of the area by driving on the road from Drymonas to Kerasia or walking on the picturesque pathway constructed by the Forest Inspection Service. Kastradaki Archaeological site on the agricultural area of Ellinika (Artemisio municipality) where there are signs of an early Helladic settlement. Artemisio Pine Forest Notorious for its beauty, this forest at some points reaches the sea shore and extends from the village Asmenio to the village Vassilika. Drosinis Tower A Venetian type chateau built in Gouves of Artemisio by the Turkish leader Imbrahim Aga in the early 19th century. After the liberation from the Turks it was bought by the family of the great poet Georgios Drosinis. Since then it has been renovated many times and now hosts a folklore artifacts collection.
