The Beachhouse Apartments & The Beachhouse Villa is an adults-only accommodation located directly in front of a lovely small public beach in the quaint village of Vagia, on the north side of Aegina Island. The area is peaceful and authentic with only a few tourists. The sea in front of the Beachhouse resembles a natural shallow swimming pool, with crystal-clear water protected by a natural stone formation. At the beach you will find the Beachhouse Beach Bar, comfortable seating and five sets of sun loungers reserved for our guests. The Beachhouse Villa is a separate building 80 metres from the Apartments, featuring a large terrace with unlimited sea views. Four of the Beachhouse Apartments are also beachfront apartments with beautiful sea views. Since September 2023 the accommodation is adults-only, allowing a maximum of 2 adults per apartment and 4 guests in the villa, helping us maintain a peaceful atmosphere. During the day the Beachhouse Beach Bar serves coffee, fresh juices, matcha tea, almond and soya milk, refreshments, wine, beers, Greek yogurt, fruit salads, toasties and the popular Beachhouse plate. The bar is open from April until November. The eight self-catering apartments each have their own atmosphere, artwork and colour setting. Inspired by the chakra colours, each apartment reflects its own energy and name. The apartments are TV-free to encourage guests to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings. As self-catering apartments, we do not provide full daily cleaning. Rubbish is removed daily and light cleaning can be arranged when needed. Sheets and towels are replaced when necessary. Regular yoga sessions are offered, and guests can also book a personal Energy Clarity Session with Lizzy in our nearby Yurt. We take care of several friendly resident cats, and to allow them to live peacefully on the property we cannot accept other pets. The Beachhouse Apartments are run by Lizzy, originally from the Netherlands and living on Aegina for many years. Over time she shaped the place into what it is today — a warm and inspiring spot where guests from all over the world come to relax, recharge and reconnect with themselves. With a background in communication, music and art, Lizzy has shaped the Beachhouse into a warm and inspiring environment. Lizzy is a life coach, healer, singer, artist and author, and recently also became a licensed yoga teacher, reflecting her long interest in personal growth, creativity and wellbeing. Alongside running the Beachhouse, she offers Energy Clarity Sessions and Creative Sessions for guests who are looking for inspiration, fresh perspectives or a moment to reconnect with themselves. Her work is also connected to AeginaHealing, an initiative inspired by the special energy of the island and the idea that Aegina can be a place for rest, reflection and personal transformation. Many guests become curious about the idea behind AeginaHealing and later explore more about it. Lizzy also organizes retreats and welcomes guests who would like to create their own tailor-made stay at the Beachhouse, combining relaxation, clarity sessions and creative time during their stay. The beach in front is used by locals and guests of The Beachhouse Apartments and The Beachhouse villa. It can be VERY BUSY during the summer months and very quiet during the off season months. At certain times in the day, the beach can be very crowded with lots of mothers with small children. But also the older Greek grand mothers like to gather in the sea in the mornings. Vagia is one of the few areas on the island where you can enjoy beautiful walks along the sea. From here you can also hike through the pine forests to Paleachora, the old medieval village, or walk up to the famous Temple of Aphaia, one of the most important ancient temples in Greece. There are several restaurants in our neighborhood. The closest one, just around the corner, is the excellent Restaurant Panorama, a family-run taverna serving delicious traditional Greek food. Early in the season Panorama is usually open weekends only until mid-May. Restaurant Aeolos is about 15 minutes walking distance and usually opens around Greek Easter, while Restaurant Horevtra is about 25 minutes on foot and typically opens daily from April. The closest supermarket is about 25 minutes walking distance or 2 minutes by car, and is open 7 days a week. We highly recommend renting a car for convenience and to explore the island. Especially during March, April, early May and October, some nearby restaurants may still have limited opening days and the local bus connection to Aegina town is minimal. We are happy to send you links and recommendations for car rental companies so you can easily arrange a rental yourself. Of course we are also happy to give you tips for discovering Aegina during your stay.
