Chios Shallow Sea / RICHA NERA has been welcoming guests since July 2021 immediately after the construction of the privately owned building. This is the second accommodation building of our business as the traditional hotel “Stoes Traditional Suites” operates in the castle of Mesta in Chios since 2018. Our goal is to provide more than just a pleasant and comfortable stay in a clean and safe environment. We love our island and so far, our involvement in the field of hospitality has strengthened our belief that Chios has to offer the visitor many unique and unforgettable experiences. Our team wants to be an assistant and advisor to every visitor. To wander in the medieval villages, unique museums and caves, to walk in the fragrant orchards of Kampos, to taste the famous wine, "suma", "masouraki", sweet rose petals, mastic, to reminisce the past through the local music of the island. Our goal is for our visitors, even when they leave, to let their spirit return to the island of Chios and the Shallow Sea Apartments, in a nostalgic journey full of the same emotions crafted in this unforgettable experience.

Just 50 meters from the Aegean seashore, in a quiet area, an impressive 14 apartment building with a communal courtyard made of the characteristic "Thymianousiki" stone of Chios. All of our 14 apartments have a large private balcony or terrace overlooking the Aegean sea and are fully equipped in order to provide our guests a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our guests are always excited about the amenities and services we provide, and that, for us, is the most rewarding part of hospitality. The large beech wood beds with the non-metallic Coco-mat mattresses made of 100% natural materials offer a great sleeping experience. The central VRV air conditioning, the thermostatic batteries, the shower cabins, the unique mastic care products, the boudoirs, as well as the low hidden lighting in the yard ensure a comfortable and quiet stay. In each apartment there is a microwave with grill, hob, full set of cooking appliances, an iron along with an ironing board and a safe. Shared washing machines and dryers are also available. We are dedicated to protecting the environment. A photovoltaic park of zero optical disturbance and zero emissions provides 100% energy self-sufficiency to our visitors

It is just a few meters from the Aegean seashore and the lively beach of Karfas with its café bars, restaurants and mini markets. The privileged location in the center of the island as well as the direct access to the regional expressway (belt road) makes it an ideal starting point for your excursions to all the points of interest of Chios: The mansions of Kampos with the famous orchards, the medieval mastic villages, the mastic museum, the cave Sykias, the Castle of Chios, the Korai Library, the folklore museum of Kallimasia, the picturesque ports of northern Chios, the archaeological museum of Chios as well as our over 100 diverse beaches. In the surrounding area, at a distance of less than 6 km there are large super markets and the city of Chios. There are also many restaurants and fish taverns adored by the locals where you can enjoy both local gastronomy and traditional Greek food, talk openly with the locals, ask about the manners and customs of our place, indulge in the famous hospitality of Chios!
