A very cute, two-storeyed little house, just right next to the sea! Enjoy the calmness of sleeping while listening to the soothing sound of sea waves. “Dandy on the beach” is our tiny jewel in Velanidia, Neapoli, in the region of Laconia. Our house offers sea view and is located in the village port, to the southeast part of Velanidia. “Dandy on the beach” is recently renovated and despite being small, 50 sq. m., it’s really cozy and compact. It’s also fully equipped with all the necessary amenities and can perfectly host couples and small families who prefer a quieter vacation. At the same time, Velanidia village is an ideal location to use as a base and visit beautiful places around, like the medieval Monemvasia, the mesmerizing Kithira, the exotic Elafonisos and the ancient Petrified Forest.

In Velanidia you will see no cars because they are not allowed. There are parking places right outside the village to protect families from the noise, dangers and pollution of the cars. The atmosphere around it smells of sea salt and iodine, while the sea waves almost reach the house door. The little boats floating in the harbor give you a sense of the peaceful flow of life. In the little square located very close to the house you will find a mini market with traditional Greek goods, a traditional café and “Monte Carlo”, Maroulitsa’s tavern. In the summer time this little square becomes livelier because of the folklore festivities where locals and visitors celebrate together. Fishermen offer their goods in the harbor, a variety of fresh fish which you can cook on your own or ask Dimitris and Randy, who own the little tavern, to cook it for you. You can also have your coffee there or even your morning Ouzo, the traditional Greek drink you absolutely must try! Fishermen all around the country love it because it helps them narrate their adventures throughout the seas. Drinking Ouzo with a fisherman you ‘ve just met could be a quite interesting experience!
