A visit to Meronas can be an unforgettable experience,meeting the most welcoming people ,drinking crystal water form the physical sources you meet as you come through,trying local food cooked with biological products and drink local wine and raki at the traditional tavernas in the village.Don't miss a visit to the Byzantine church of Virgin Mary from the 14th century in the center of the village and the playground .You can also be more adventurous and live a unique experience in Amari valley as it is an area with hiking,cycling, ecological discoveries and archeological interests. Hike through a variety of landcapes on the way to Psiloritis National Park,to Samitos and Kedros.Visit the green and shady gorge of St.Antonio,the steep and picturesque gorge of Platania with griffon vultures in the lush valley. There are so many stunning lovely hiking trails to follow.
