Welcome to Endiktis Art Home – a cozy and artistic retreat, perfect for couples, romantic getaways, or anyone seeking tranquility and inspiration in the heart of nature. Recently renovated, the house is located in a traditional village in southeastern Crete and blends authentic charm with modern comforts. It features two bright double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living-dining room with a romantic ambiance, a sofa-bed and an armchair-bed for extra guests, and a stylish bathroom. There's also a separate utility room with a washing machine, dryer, and ironing station. At the heart of the home lies a covered inner courtyard and a charming rooftop terrace with breathtaking views – perfect for candlelit dinners, sunset wine, or sharing peaceful moments under the Cretan sky.

The house is located in a small village named «Katofygi", in the south east area of Heraklion at the end of the plain province and at the foot of the "Dikti" mountain range. Hence the name of our accommodation "Endiktis" or "Endiktis", to give the visitor the impression that he is "in Diktis" or in front of the Diktis mountains. There are many i versions for the name Katofygi. Some claim that it got its name from some hunted people who found refuge in the area. Still others claim that it was named so by the inhabitants- shepherds of the mountainous region of Lasithi, who during the difficult days of winter with the heavy snowfalls could not return to their homes, due to the altitude and trapped as they were, they found here refuge and hospitality from its friendly inhabitants. But what is certain is that the place has a great variety of vegetation and wildlife. Here in the surrounding area the visitor will encounter a feast of rare species of plants and animals. Beautiful forests of Holm oaks, rare aromatic plants such as Dictamos and Antonaida, but also all kinds of birds and predators, such as eagles, hawks and many vultures. The place is suitable for visitors who want to live for a few days in a quiet place away from the noise of the city and the crowds, and they want to live the experience of the only tourist in the area. The visitor to this place can combine mountain and sea. The beautiful beaches of southern Crete, such as Keratokampos, Tsoutsouros, Listis, are at a distance of 20 to 30 minutes by car, while the Lasithi plateau can be reached at the same time, through a fantastic road mountain route, which passes through the small plateau of Erganos with its verdant vineyards. In the neighboring village of "Xeniako" one can enjoy excellent local flavors in the tavern of Simos. In the neighboring village of "Embaros" there are two supermarkets, an ATM, coffee shops, and a confectionery workshop where the women's cooperative "Erganos" with great care and love.
