Manthos is a retired car rental manager as well as an olive oil producer, Julie, is an ex-travel manager and tour guide, who loves to attend to her guests and is passionate about Crete, property design, and healthy living. Julie and Manthos live close by and are available 24/7 for anything you need. They will tell you about great places to visit and ensure that you make the most of your holiday in Crete. Valley View Lodge is located on a peaceful corner in Anopoli Village, opposite our other property Valley View House. The pretty quiet lane is made up of small traditional stone houses owned kind, happy and respectable Cretan families. Two minutes' walk away from the property is Gogo who runs the village supermarket where you will find fresh daily fresh bread and homemade cakes, fruit, vegetables, and generally everything edible, which comes mostly from the local producers. In the village square just around the corner, there is the small nursery school and very close to this is the main church of St Trinity, Stavros kafenio, and the famous 'Golden Cage" Taverna. A short walk from the village centre is the famous Anopolis by night dancing hall, the Water City water park, the handicraft park and St Johns Monastery. The location is perfect to experience real Crete, its culture, and traditions.
