Kafenes Home is a beautiful traditional house located in the heart of Messaria Village in Santorini, just 3,5km from Fira Town. Kafenes Home used to be the traditional café of Messaria Village hence the name Kafenes in Greek means traditional café. Kafenes has been recently renovated and turned into architecture with minimal contemporary touches. The house shares the front entrance of the property with an upper floor apartment where the owner spends about 2-3 weeks of his summer vacations every year. “Kafenes” Traditional Home comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice living room area, where our guests can cook delicious meals and relax after a long day under the Greek sun. The property has a master bedroom with a double bed located on the ground floor. There is also a loft bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom is fully renovated with a traditional Cycladic shower. Finally, our guests will be able to unwind from a busy day and enjoy the starlit Santorinian sky while sitting in the jacuzzi/hot tub, which is located on the terrace. Please note: The jacuzzi/hot tub operates from April to November only.

Messaria village was established back in the 17th century. In the 19th century it was the industrial center of the island, awash with cave houses and mansions. Today, Messaria still preserves it’s traditional Cycladic beauty with contemporary details popping up, thus connecting the past and the present in a unique way. The manor houses of Argyros, Markezinis and Saliveros, which still stand in the village - all at a walking distance from “Kafenes” - are the landmarks of Messaria for their distinct architecture and style.
