Kouriton House is a 1750 mansion located in the Byzantine settlement of Tzanakiana Margarites of Mylopotamos. It offers traditional, stone-built rooms and apartments and serves homemade breakfast in the morning on the large monastery table. Kouriton rooms and apartments feature iron beds, carved furnishings and wooden-beamed ceilings. They come with a living area, TV, mini fridge and have an private bathroom with free toiletries. All units open out to a stone-paved patio. Guests can spend some time in the Cretan-style living room where they can enjoy traditional spoon sweets and herbal beverages. A public PC with internet access is also available. Kouriton House is also the base of the Ecomuseum of Agricultural Life of Rethymno promoting the cultural heritage of Crete. The town of Rethymno is 17 mi away from Tzanakiana, while the beach of Bali can be reached within 14 mi. The archaeological site of Eleftherna is nearby. The property’s staff can also recommend trekking routes to the broader area of Mount Psiloritis. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and free parking is possible nearby.
