Kyparissis Beach House 2 is in Skala Mistegnon, a peaceful fishing village on the eastern coast of Lesvos — one of Greece's largest and most authentic islands in the North Aegean. The village moves at its own quiet pace. No tourist crowds, no late-night noise — just olive groves, a handful of fishing boats on the shore and two local tavernas steps from the house. The main village of Mystegnon is a 15-minute walk uphill, with a small shop for basics. For proper groceries and supplies, we recommend driving to one of the larger nearby towns or into Mytilene. A car is essential for this stay. Lesvos rewards those who take the time to explore it. Mytilene, the island's lively capital, is less than 30 minutes away — home to a Byzantine Castle, a Roman Aqueduct and a waterfront lined with tavernas. For a perfect day out, head to Aspropotamos — known locally as Golden Sand — one of Lesvos's most beautiful hidden beaches, with white sand and clear shallow water perfect for swimming and snorkelling, and barely a tourist in sight. Around 40 minutes by car and well worth the drive. Lesvos is lovely year-round — we recommend visiting Skala Mistegnon from late spring through early autumn for the best experience.
