Just above the village, you’ll find a historic monastery, where every year on August 6th (Feast of the Savior), a large traditional festival takes place — a unique cultural experience if you visit during that time. In the evenings, you may experience traditional “kantades” (serenades), as Corfiots are well known for their rich musical culture and love for singing. Beaches nearby: The location offers easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches in southwest Corfu: ● Paramonas Beach – within walking distance via a scenic, idyllic route ● Prasoudi Beach – 10 minutes by car ● Halikounas Beach – 10 minutes by car On your way to Halikounas, you can also visit the historic Gardiki Castle, one of the island’s hidden gems.
