Lemonia Cottage is a charming country cottage with two bedrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor level with own private bathroom. The second bedroom is on the first floor gallery, accessed by a winding staircase and under the timbers of the wood-beamed ceiling. The living/dining room area features a log-burning stove, cozy vintage furniture, collected antiques and décor - all ensuring a holiday with the atmosphere of a real Greek island home. It is traditionally painted with blue shutters and whitewashed walls. With mature gardens set in the midst of an olive grove, it is evident this country cottage was used by the family in bygone years when working the land. Today, its old world charm is kept alive in this lovingly restored cottage with sweeping views of velvety olive-clad hillsides spilling down to the whitewashed houses of the town and sea and across the sea to the neighboring island of Alonissos. The front of the cottage has a spacious veranda, furnished with a table and plenty of outdoor seating for al fresco dining. It is partially covered by a pergola with an old winding grape vine, its leaves providing respite from the midday sun. Just below is the private swimming pool, set in a cluster of Cypress trees and taking advantage of fabulous views to the sea. There is also a semi-covered outside kitchen next to the pool.

Coast/Beach: There are many beaches to explore around the island for which we supply various maps. Some accessible by bus, or car and some by boat and some by foot. Each beach has its own special appeal and character. Travel: The neighbouring island of Skiathos has the nearest airport and a regular fast boat or ferry service takes you to Skopelos in under one hour passing beautiful uninhabited islands. Dolphins are often seen swimming alongside the boat during the journey. Distances: 3km to the town and nearest beach. A good bus service runs the entire length of the island from Skopelos town to Glossa and Loutraki where there are several good tavernas and restaurants. Being only 13 miles long and passing many beaches on route, it is easy to experience a good variety of beaches. Car hire is essential to reach the house. With a car one can also enjoy the adventure of exploring along some of the dirt roads that take you to forests, mountains and deserted beaches and the beautiful monasteries Further Details: Skopelos old town is only 3km away down the hillside. You will find a wealth of harbourside Tavernas and cafes all offering similar menus at reasonable prices
