Situated in a privileged location right on the rim of the volcanic Caldera and simultaneously in the heart of Oia town. Acknowledged as one of the most up market cliff settlements it embraces the magical aura of the Caldera.

Neighborhood info

Oia, pronounced Ia, is the most famous village in Santorini. It is known throughout the world for its peaceful life and fantastic sunsets and is certainly the most beautiful and picturesque village of Santorini. Oia is situated on top of an impressive cliff offering spectacular views of the New and the Old volcano (Palia and Nea Kameni) and the island of Thirassia. Oia is situated on the north of the island, 12km from Fira. It is a traditional village with charming houses,narrow streets,blue domed churches and white paved verandas. Its streets have plenty of touristic shops, cafes,taverns, fancy restaurants. Oia has several cultural attractions such us the vestiges of a Venetian fortress and the Maritime Museum which hosts a small library and items from the maritime life of the area. Many artists fell in love with the area and settled here. For this reason the village of Oia consists of plenty art galleries. Oia consists of two small ports, Ammoudi and Armeni. Ammoudi can be reached by a set of 300 steps leading down. There boats can take you to the islands of Thirassia and the volcano. Ammoudi is also well known of its traditional taverns where visitors may enjoy fresh fish.
