I'm Takis, a fourth-generation descendant of Gerasimos Marcora, the renowned Corfiot poet who once called this historic estate his home. My family has cared for the mansion for generations, and we live nearby, always available whenever our guests need us. We love sharing our local knowledge, from beaches and traditional tavernas to hidden corners of Corfu. Our aim is simple: to make you feel at home while experiencing the history, nature and warm hospitality of Corfu.

Marcora Historic Mansion is a unique 17th-century family estate in the Corfiot countryside, once home to the renowned poet Gerasimos Marcora. The estate consists of three independent houses and is exclusively reserved for one group at a time, offering complete privacy for families and groups of up to 17 guests. Surrounded by approximately 1,400 m² of gardens, the three houses share a private 12 × 4 m swimming pool, sun terraces, shaded sitting areas and outdoor dining spaces. Each house has two bedrooms, two private bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable living area. Guests can enjoy air conditioning, high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, BBQ facilities, pool and beach towels, sun loungers and everything needed for a relaxed stay. More than simply a place to stay, Marcora Historic Mansion offers the atmosphere of an authentic Corfiot family home, combining centuries of history with modern comfort, privacy and the peaceful surroundings of a traditional village.

Marcora Historic Mansion is located in Strongyli, a peaceful traditional Corfiot village surrounded by green hills and countryside. Staying here offers the chance to experience a more authentic side of Corfu, away from the busiest tourist areas while remaining within easy reach of beaches, restaurants and shops. A café-bar is just 100 metres from the property, and a mini market about 200 metres away. Several beaches can be reached within a short drive, while Moraitika, with supermarkets, restaurants and shops, is approximately 6 km away. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, with trails leading through olive groves and towards small chapels and panoramic viewpoints. A local bus stop is around a 5-minute walk away, although we recommend renting a car or scooter to explore Corfu comfortably. Corfu Town, the airport and the port are approximately 30–35 minutes away by car.
