I enjoy Greece very much, born in the United States and spending a portion of my life there, I have incorporated both cultures in my life and feel excited to share it with others! Santorini is a very unique place as featuring blue water, volcanic history and wonderful oceans, truly brings about a majestic feeling.

Property info

THis property is one of the three original cave houses surviving the great earthquake of 1956, in Santorini. The architecture is an actual dome dug out in the mountain versus an external imitation. It has retained 80 percent of its original features through preservation is at the closest point to the center of volcanic islets and sits at the highest point of the caldera giving a great view of oia fira and firostefani with the first town only four miles away with no immediate distractions as two side walls privatize the resort for the guests. Contrary to its unique privacy above the facility walking out of the caldera are restaurants and shops as well as a convenient bus top connecting to all areas of the island. With each floor independent of the other the cave house it can be rented individually or as a two story unit for larger families or parties. All areas have direct view of the ocean from the sitting/dining areas, the lower cave house includes a large moon window that allows viewing of the sky at night with a heated swimming pool overlooking the volcano center.

Neighborhood info

The neighborhood is in the town of Imerovigli highest area in the volcanic caldera on the island of Santorini. The square with the scenic view of the caldera is called square Gali, directly above the resort and there are restaurants like Skaros tavern, a wonderful upscale bar called Navagio the drinks are interesting they feature cocktails with local twists, next to that we have the restaurant Aegean which offers a great view during your dining experience. There are two grocery marts to the left and right on the main street of square Gali, one of which offers prompt delivery to the caldera cave houses and is a great place to stock up on some personal groceries! If one takes the traditional caldera road north it will begin the traditional sunset hike to the town of Oia, it's about a four mile/8 km walk, if the direction travelled is south on that very road, it will take you to the busy square of fira where one can find attractions, museums, car rentals, restaurants, the cable cars, main church attractions as well as some bars and nightclubs!Upon arriving we can inform you about other neighborhoods, tours, and transportation!
