The accommodation "MATALA LUX CAVE" is located in the heart of the picturesque settlement of Matala. Its location allows the visitor to enjoy the uniquely beautiful view of the bay and the well-known caves from the hippie era. It is located at a distance of thirty meters from the organized beach and twenty from the cafes, bars and traditional taverns of the village. The accommodation is amphitheatrically placed on a sloping pedestrian street as it is built on the side of the mountain, which leads to the well-known but inaccessible Red Sand beach. It is located just a few kilometers from the Minoan Palace of Phaistos where King Rodamanthus, brother of Minos, lived. Within the settlement there is a supermarket, hairdresser, spa, taxi and bus stop. There is a pharmacy in the neighboring village of Pitsidia, just three kilometers away. In order to approach the accommodation, the visitor should know that there is no means of transport within the settlement, but upon reaching the central square of the village, he will walk towards the bay. On the left you will come across a lane towards the beach of Kokkini Ammos. In about twenty meters up this lane you will find the accommodation.
