Platys Gialos is one of the largest beaches of Sifnos, as its name implies. For many years now it has been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union and is considered by many to be the most cosmopolitan beach on the island. Platys Gialos stands out for the golden, fine sand all over the beach. Umbrellas, sunbeds, and deck chairs cover only a small percentage of the area and there is also a partial shade offered by the beach trees. There are changing rooms, showers, and toilets and you can easily find restaurants and cafés along the beach, with tables beside the sea.
