There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining/sitting room area, leading to a garden patio ideal for al fresco outdoor eating. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom, opening on to a large balcony. The apartment can sleep 4 (two king size beds or 4 single beds), with one additional fold-out bed available on request. Pathways take guests through the large cultivated indigenous garden space, through the grove of ancient olive trees, and into the wild lower garden.

O Kipos (The Garden) sits on the edge of Zarakes Village (known locally as Zarka), overlooking unspoilt green hills and valleys where the old, partially abandoned stone-built village (Mahala) nestles. The village centre is 5 minutes walk away, and has a well-stocked Mini-Market, a pharmacy, bakeries and coffee shop, and tavernas. Ideally located on the narrowest part of Evia, O Kipos offers easy access to beautiful sandy and pebble beaches and numerous small villages on both the Aegean and Attica coast. Zarakes Beach, with its celebrated taverna, is a 10 minute drive away, or guests can enjoy a leisurely 50 minute stroll through the countryside. Walking trails and archeological sites abound. The nearby museum and archaeological site in Eretria and the stunning newly opened Arethousa Archaeological Museum in Chalkida (also translated as Chalcis or Halkis) track the fascinating and often forgotten history of Evia as a major trading, cultural and commercial hub of Greece.
