I am Christos, host and creator of this small retreat in Lemnos. I was born and raised on the island and my connection to this place is deep and personal. For me, hospitality is not just about accommodation – it is an experience that I want to share with my guests. My studies and professional career as a Mining Engineer led me to live and work outside of Lemnos for several years. However, my love for the place where I grew up led me to create Paliokaliva Home, a space inspired by the simplicity of island life, nature and the authentic architecture of Lemnos. What I love most about hospitality is helping guests discover the island as the locals know it: hidden beaches, authentic flavors, quiet moments under the Aegean sky and small experiences that make a trip truly special. Nature, the sea and the cultivation of the land are among the things that inspire me daily. I often welcome guests with small gifts from the garden and I am happy to share suggestions for them to get to know Lemnos in an authentic way. My goal is for every guest to feel like they are not just visiting an accommodation, but that for a few days they have their own home in Lemnos. Within a short drive, guests can explore stunning beaches such as Kokkinovrachos, Mikro Fanaraki and Megalo Fanaraki, known for their golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Nearby, Keros Beach is also one of the most famous destinations in Greece for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Just a few minutes away lies Moudros, the second largest port of Lemnos, where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and local cuisine in seaside tavernas, have coffee by the harbor or take a relaxing walk along the beautiful bay.
