We started managing Archontiko Old Town Suites in the middle of the pandemic, in late October of 2020. During these difficult times, the property was abandoned by the previous owner. We simply fell in love and decided to give it a second chance. After a renovation of the rooms and common spaces, we also opened a beautiful cafe-bar on the ground floor. Despite the Coronavirus, we anticipate welcoming our first quests and look forward to the future success of this fantastic place.

Located in the heart of Rethymno Old Town, Archontiko Old Town Suites is housed in a restored Venetian building of 16th century. It offers 4 comfortable and cozy rooms, a cafe-bar, a reception area, and a roof-top terrace with a breath-taking view over the Old Town and famous Fortezza Castle. All tastefully decorated rooms of Archontiko have a flat-screen TV and a minibar, shower/bathtub, double bed, free toiletries, and everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Free WiFi access is available everywhere at the property. Even though Archontiko Old Town Suites is a tiny city hotel, we have several common areas available: a lounge area and a cafe-bar on the ground floor, a terrace for shared use on the 1st floor, and a beautiful garden terrace with sunbeds on the 2d floor. Drinks from our cafe-bar can be also served on the roof-top terrace, which provides a panoramic view of the city.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the very center of the Old Town of Rethymno in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Plenty of cafes, shops, and restaurants are available just in few steps from the property. The peaceful city beach of Rethymno may be reached on foot (15-20 minutes walk), by bike (5 minutes drive), or taxi. The Heraklion International Airport is 83 km away, while Chania Airport is 66 km away.
