In order to get to this apartment you need to walk up the steps (kalistrata) for about 5 minutes (shown in photos) or drive up to the village and walk down the steps. This apartment is not suitable for those who cannot manage the step access as it’s the only way to get to and from the apartment. The apartment is open plan, the bed is raised and behind a split wall, providing privacy and enhancing the aesthetic of the room. Embedded in the stone walls are traditional doors and arches. The shutters enable the option of shutting out the light or having an airy open feel.

Situated in the peaceful setting of the Kali Strata, the stone step walk way which weaves its way between the beautiful traditional neoclassical houses of symi. With an outside seating area you can take in the views of the steps and the houses on the hill side opposite. It’s surrounded by beautiful views and away from the bustle of the town yet will only take you a few minutes to get down to the main port. It’s a residential area of houses built in the time of symi being very prosperous island with ship building and sponge-diving merchant.
