Liotrivi area lies within 1,2 km of the village of Dryopida, Kythnos’ second major village, providing a wide range of local services, markets and shops, tavernas and cafes. The port of Merichas is about 10km away, while the Chora (capital) of Kythnos is just 7km away. Liotrivi beach is only a 1 mins drive (5 min walk) from the Studio. Kakia Maria (“Wicked Mary”) is 3 mins, while the lovely bay of Kalo Livadi (“Nice Meadow”) less than a 5 mins drive away. Kythnos is considered to be one of the Cycladic islands still unaffected by the impact of mass tourism. The favourable location of the houses – centre-east of the island – allows for easy and brisk access to stunning beaches with crystal clear waters such as Loutra, Kanala,Agios Dimitris, Flabouria, Lefkes, Simousi, to name but a few… Of particular interest is the crescent-shaped isthmus of fine sand at Kolona (double beach), about 15 minutes by car; certainly worth a visit! Some bays are accessible via paved roads, while others remain totally secluded. It is likely that you will find yourself alone on a beach, even during high-season!
