Drymonas is one of the most beautiful villages in mountainous Lefkada. It is located at an altitude of 530 meters. The settlement appears to have largely retained its traditional color. Most of the village houses are made of stone and are old, some repaired and well-maintained. All the narrow streets are paved. Despite the depopulation of the village mainly in the 1960s and 1970s due to migration and the movement of residents to major urban centers, in recent years the village has experienced significant tourist development due to its natural position and the attention to local architecture, with which many old houses have been renovated.
