Vouliagmeni is one of the best areas near Athens for relaxing by the sea. Clean, safe, and beautiful while still being close to the city. Lake Vouliagmeni, just an 8-minute walk away! The Vouliagmeni Lake is one of the most unique natural attractions near Athens and a big reason many visitors choose to stay in the area. It’s a natural thermal lake fed by underground sea currents, the water stays warm year-round (around 22–29°C / 72–84°F). Rich in minerals, often compared to a natural spa, swim in calm, clear waters surrounded by cliffs and greenery. Relax on sunbeds or wooden decks around the lake, it’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge.
Vouliagmeni offers one of the most complete dining scenes along the Athens Riviera, combining high-end fine dining experiences with authentic seaside tavernas, all within a very small and walkable area.
