The idea of rebuilding this building came up by our love for the village, as we are the only guest house in this area, but also the need to communicate this beauty to others. We give our best efforts to provide a more than average accommodation, and we are here to give our guests information and tours propositions. Also, we personally prepare the breakfast with traditional recipes and local products.

Our traditional guest house offers to the guests tranquil accomodation in Dimitra village resort in the county of Gortynia in Pelloponissos, Greece. The village of Dimitra gets its name from the ancient sanctuary of Elefsinia or else Alousia Dimitra, the ruinsof which are visible on one of the peaks ofthe Aphrodisia mountains (10 min. by car). The mansion was the house of the Oikonomopoulos family which settled in the region in the middle of the 19th century and the name "Theoni's House" expresses its identity. The house was rebuilt in the traditional way, by the good of Mrs Christodoularis, the grand daughter of Theoni. "Theonis House" is a 3 floored stonebuild house made originally in 1850, and overlooks the gorge of Ladonas. In the traditional mansion there are 6 rooms with wc, bath and central heat and it is surrounded by a courtyard and the garden. At the ground floor of the mansion there is a dinning room for breakfast, which offers traditional tastes and homemade marmelades.

Theoni's House is located a few meters away from the central square of the village. Around the square guests will find two taverns and a traditional cafeteria. Guests can stay to Theoni's House and use it as a terminal for small tours in the near area. They can either walk through the path to the gorge of Ladonas river and see extraordinary landscape of wild beauty through small roads (paths) and valleys and discover caves with stalactites, monasteries and old churches rooted into rocks, or they can drive to the barrage of Ladonas and the artificial lake, which is famous for its activity center, such as canoing and kayaking.
