Symi has recently become one of the most popular summer destinations in the Mediterranan for those seeking a holiday in style, combining a cosmopolitan atmosphere with expensive yachts along the harbor with the traditional appeal of the Greek islands’ history and culture. Thanks to its unique picturesque scenery and ambience, Symi attracts people from all over the world. As you enter the harbor of Gialos by ferry or cruise ship, the imposing homes of this colorful traditional settlement creates a breathtaking scene. On the other side of the island you’ll find Taxiarchis Michael of Panormitis, the monastery that houses the icon of the famous miracle worker saint. Indeed many travel to Symi to light a candle and say a prayer in hope that the saint will granτ them their wishes.
