Timedrops Santorini is a complex of 6 traditional luxury villas located in the preserved settlement of Emporio. Set on uneven levels on the slope of a hill, the villas offer private pools and panoramic views of Kastelli and the sea. Each villa has terraces and yards equipped with sun beds for relaxing and sunbathing. Built with respect to local architecture, the stone-built houses are naturally cool even during the heat of the noon. Each villa is self-contained with 1 to 3 bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, and modern media include LCD TVs, and free WiFi. Upon request, breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared and served in your villa. Timedrops will be happy to arrange boat-cruises, daily excursions, wine tours, diving excursions, massage sessions, hair dresser appointments, 2-way transfer to the airport or port and car rental service. Timedrops Santorini enjoys an off-the-beaten-track location in Emporio. At the same time, it is just 1.6 mi from Perivolos Beach, 5 mi from Athinios Port and 6.2 mi from the airport. There is free parking available on site.

Choosing the right accommodation in Santorini is a difficult task for any traveler. The great number of hotels on the island makes the effort to find the perfect one that much more daunting; one look, however, at the excellent reviews for our villas on Tripadvisor (Certificate of Excellence 2016) will be enough to convince you that our excellent reputation is justified and that we offer an excellent service equal to a luxurious hotel experience. We do our best to be the perfect place to relax, to make you feel like home, to be your family friends at Santorini. We believe that this is exactly what makes Timedrops Villas so special.

Neighborhood info

Kastelli is the fortified preserved settlement of Emporio village. It was built in the inland of Santorini at the times of the Venetian occupation. The purpose of the castle was to protect the island’s inhabitants from pirates like Hayreddin Barbarossa who raided Santorini at 1537. Kastelli is a compact settlement with narrow streets, paths covered with arches, deadlocks and basements, terraces and courtyards. In Kastelli the time seems like it has stopped. Anyone who walks through the village feels that he lives in another era. During the day one can’t stop admiring the unique architecture of the settlement. Jean Paul Sartre accompanied by Simon de Beauvoir visited Kastelli during his 1937 vacation. Inspired from the settlement, he wrote his first theatrical project «Les Mouches». Nowadays Emporio village has spread outside the Kastelli towards the sea and offers all the necessary modern conveniences such as supermarkets, shops, a pharmacy, taverns etc. Kastelli, however, has remained untouched by commercial activities, being the best preserved and most inhabiteed castle on the island, and offers only two picturesque traditional cafes.
