IREMIA means 'tranquil & peaceful' in Greek, and this is what our guests can expect.
Vila Iremia has two stunning, brand new Apartments located directly above Barbati Beach and Piedra Del Mar.
Each apartment has a beautifully appointed bedroom, light and airy separate living/dining room, a delighful kitchen and luxurious bathroom, styled with original Indonesian furniture and artwork.
OLIVE is named after our stunning 350 year old olive tree that both the kitchen and living room overlook. Guests may also relax on our amazing antique Javanese daybed, shaded by the giant olive.
CITRUS is named after the adjacent mandarin tree and late in the season guest may enjoy fruit directly from the tree.
Remi is a Dutch New Zealander who is always happy to 'go the extra mile' to help guests to enjoy their stay in Barbati. He is an active golfer an avid All Blacks supporter and a follower of almost all other forms of football. Remi is passionate about good [slow] food, wine and cooking and enjoys relaxing amongst the plants and birds and cultivating as many fresh vegetables as possible around the property. Remi (with his wife Liz), are also seasoned travellers who have visited over 25% of the world’s officially listed countries and understand the differences that help make a great accommodation stand out.
Remi & Liz have two wonderful adult daughters, two delightful granddaughters and a charming grandson.
Barbati Village is one of the best appointed villages on the island, with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. There are many coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets, bakery, car & bike rentals, and bus service, all within an easy 5 minute walk from Vila Iremia. Barbati Beach itself is the longest beach in Corfu, again with many beach restaurants to choose from, although we recommend Piedro del Mar which is directly below Vila Iremia. There are many providers for beach beds, water sports and boat rentals. The beach has small pebbles, is very clean and the water is crystal clear.
