Villa Gamma is located in the south of Crete, just under an hour from Heraklion Airport (62 km). From Villa Gamma you have a great view of Kalamaki Beach (2.8 km). Why is the villa called Gamma? Gamma is the 3rd letter of the Greek alphabet and looks like an upside down L, the shape of Villa Gamma = Γ. Our holiday home offers plenty of space for couples, families with children and friends. With six beds in three bedrooms and a comfortable sofa bed, there is enough space for 8 people. With small children or babies there would also be enough space for 9-10 people, and a cot is also available. The very well-equipped holiday home with a great kitchen, two bathrooms, a living room and free WiFi offers a play and fitness room on the lower level as a highlight, where you and your children can have a lot of fun. The spacious terrace with barbecue and sea views fit uniquely into the landscape. The large pool offers fun and cooling off on hot days. Not necessary in midsummer, but always possible to use the pool heating (surcharge) so that you can have fun in the pool at any time of the year.

In the picture you see my wife Sabrina and me (Daniel). We have two children, a boy of 11 years old and a daughter of 4 years old. We bought the villa with Sascha and his wife Manuela. They also have two children, two girls aged 13 and 9. Sascha didn't want to be photographed, he thinks it's too ugly. But he isn't.

The south, which is well developed for tourism, is still considered the island's insider tip by travel experts. The well-known and beautiful beaches of Komos Beach (6 km), Red Beach (9 km) and Matala Beach (8 km) are not overcrowded by tourism. Matala became famous through the hippie movement in the 60s and 70s. The world famous Bob Dylan lived in the caves of Matala with other hippies and enjoyed the simple life. Even today, the place is characterized by the hippie scene. All of these places, as well as the second largest Minoan palace in Crete after Knossos (palace of Phaistos 4 km), can be reached from Villa Gamma in just a few minutes. The nearest bakery, a kiosk with the essentials and restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity of Villa Gamma and can be reached on foot in 3 minutes at the entrance to Kamilari. The town offers more shopping opportunities, a discounter (Lidl) is also quickly accessible in Festos, 14 km away. Further you will find many taverns and restaurants in Matala, Kamilari and Kalamaki.
