A traditional Cycladic family house, with amazing sea views, situated on Acrotiri, a promontory, in Megas Gialos, on the island of Syros.
We enjoy visiting places especially off the beaten track. I'm a dental technician & my wife's a teacher/artist. We love scavenging stuff from the beaches, fields even scrap yards, then painting/recycling them into simple,beautiful but practical objects. See our villa for many examples like an old plate rack, signs, frames, a glass fronted cabinet, wooden pallets & so on. Reading, gardening, swimming,cycling are also some of the activities which keep us out of mischief!
Βασίλης & Ann’s home is located in Villa Petros, Megas Gialos, Syros Cyclades, Greece. There are 2 lovely beaches within 5 minute walking distance also swimming from the rocks just below the house. Nearby you can find several tavernas by the seaside. There is a small supermarket just a short walk from the villa. Bus stops are situated about 200 meters from the property with a half hourly bus service to Hermoupolis ,villages & other beaches from June until September. After September, we recommend hiring a car as the bus service is greatly reduced. Parking & WiFi is available on site & pick up from the port/airport ,even car hire, can be arranged by the owner.
