WeSense Santorini is a cave collection located on the most preferential point on the island of Santorini, on the cliffs of the picturesque Village of Imerovigli. Every point of WeSense Santorini offers 180 degrees view of the Caldera, astonishing views of the volcano, the sea and the neighboring islands evoking serenity emotions to its discerning Guests. Traditional cycladic architecture is uniquely combined with contemporary design while the feeling of being “on top of the world” offers its guests a unique hospitality experience in a breathtaking scenery.
The Cave Suite and Villa with outdoor heated jacuzzi are uniquely designed to individually accommodate two couples each or a group of up to 8 guests travelling together if the extra sleeping arrangements are used. They are located above each other, acceding to the utmost level of privacy. Close enough to the center but far enough from the crowdy areas, WeSense Collection offers you a memorable stay in the island of Santorini.
Neighborhood info
Imerovigli is a picturesque village situated at the north of Santorini, only 2 km away from the capital of Fira. It is a continuation of Fira and one of the most beautiful balconies of the island. The name of Imerovigli comes from the word vigla which means view spot. The position of the village provides a clear view of the caldera, and during the old times it allowed villagers to see the pirate ships approaching. Today, Imerovigli is one of the recognized traditional settlements.
Hotels and traditional houses are plentiful in Imerovigli. There are also many taverns and cafes with stunning views to the caldera. In front of Imerovigli lies an enormous rock called Scaros. On top of it is a castle that was built during the 13th century but it was abandoned in the early 1800s. The castle housed all the administrative offices of the island. This part of the island collapsed after an earthquake, and only the huge hill of Scaros is left today. Imerovigli has numerous chapels and churches built on the rocks overlooking the blue sea. The village is known as the ultimate romantic destination.
