In Aegina, Vagia was the main inspiration for Zorz Sarri when she wrote the famous short stories "The Treasure of the Vagia" and "The Strong Shoes". The greatest part of the - surrounded by crystal clear waters- island is covered with small mountains (the highest of which is Oros or Prophitis Ilias - at 539 m).
