Company info

My name is Nikolaos Achnoulas, and I am the owner of Xenonas Achnoulas since 2022. My purpose is for the guests to come and leave happy, forgetting for a while the stresses of everyday life. I want to give my best for the best possible stay, both in terms of services and in terms of the quality and cleanliness of the rooms.

Property info

Xenonas Achnoulas was founded and operated for the first time in 1994 and is one of the first hotels created in Ano Pedina and Zagorochoria. 30 years in the field of tourism, we work consistently to offer our services for a pleasant and carefree stay. The guesthouse is located at the beginning of the village in the first building on the left. Internally, the guest house is decorated, both in the common areas and in the rooms, with respect to the tradition of the previous generations. The common areas include the lounge/sitting room and the kitchen where you can make and enjoy your coffee. In addition, the guest house consists of 5 rooms, traditional but at the same time adapted to the modern needs of our guests. Finally, the hostel complies with all health protocols, as indicated by the competent authorities and services.

Neighborhood info

Ano Pedina is a village in the Municipality of Zagori, Prefecture of Ioannina. It is located in central Zagori, built at 960 meters. Only about 35 kilometers from the city of Ioannina, Ano Pedina is a unique destination for vacations, as it is intertwined with both tourism and hospitality, as well as with the tradition of Zagori and general from Epirus. The architecture of the village, like the rest of the villages, is based on the construction of Hotels, houses and restaurants from stone, something that is unique to the area. Before 1928, the village was called Ano Sudena, where the word Sudena is a Slavic toponym meaning "cold place". The Ano Pedina, with their well-preserved houses, their unique hospitality and the various activities are what attract the attention of the visitor to visit. The name "Zagori" comes from the Slavic words za=back and gora=mountain and means the place behind the mountain. The region of Zagori has 46 stone-built villages and contains attractions that tourists visit in all seasons of the year. Zagori is an area of great natural beauty, with impressive geology, two National Parks, one of which includes the Aoos River and the Vikos Gorge, and the other the area around Valia Kalda, east of the imposing snow-covered Tymfi and the Northern Pindos National Park, of which it is also the main part.
