The island of Murter is the largest and most populated island of the Šibenik archipelago, connected to the mainland by a drawbridge in Tisno. In the center of the island is the town of Murter, which was first mentioned in 1273. A visit to Murter will provide you with peace, clear sea and hills with an incredible view of the archipelago, hidden coves, charming alleys and old olive groves surrounded by dry stone walls.
