Only 12 kilometers from Trogir, Vinišće is located in a beautiful deep bay with crystal clear sea. The name of the place dates back to the Roman veterans who cultivated vines in this area. Vinišće is actually an old Croatian word for vineyard. Vinišće is known for its bays: Voluja, Ričevo, Vrelo, Stari Trogir and Sićenica. During the summer, many traditional "fešta" and manifestations are organized in Vinišće, and the best way to taste the true Dalmatian spirit is to mingle with the locals, taste wine and gastronomic delicacies at such events.
