Murter island is a popular tourist destination on the central Dalmatian coast, conveniently situated, a short drive away from Zadar and Split airports, and only 20min away from the motorway connecting Zagreb with the coast. Lots of notable and interesting places to visit are nearby: Zadar and Šibenik towns with their rich history and UNESCO heritage sights; the Vrana nature park; and the Kornati, Krka and Paklenica national parks, all renowned for their unique natural beauty. Murter island offers lots of lovely beaches, several interesting towns to visit, and all the amenities one needs for a pleasant holiday.
