We live on the very top floor of this beloved old building with amazing sea view over the Šibenik port—once the childhood home of my husband’s grandmother and her family—and every summer for as long as I can remember, its sun-warmed walls and creaking wood beams have welcomed us back. Over the years we fell in love with Šibenik’s hidden corners—the winding stone alleys, the gentle lapping of the Adriatic against ancient quay walls—we knew we had to share its undiscovered beauty so I moved here permanently 5 years ago. We gently restored these apartments, weaving modern comforts into the historic wooden beams and the timeworn stone exterior that so vividly tells our family’s story. Nestled in the heart of Šibenik, 20 meter from the sea with unobstructed view of Šibenik harbour our home is the perfect springboard for you to wander through the old town’s secret courtyards, savor the best local flavors, and lose yourself in the sunsets that stole our hearts here. Our house dates back to the 16th century, it is historically protected waterfront cultural monument and it has belonged to our family for centuries. Its thick stone walls and original timber beams bearing witness to last 500 years of life in Šibenik. During World War II, the attic—once a humble storage space—became a secret meeting point for the local resistance meetings hosted by my husband grandmother. When we set out to renovate these apartments, we felt a deep responsibility to honor that history and maintain the historic look but also update apartments to the highest level of modern amenities. You’ll still see sections of the ancient "8 meter wood preserved structural beams" overhead and the old stonework peeking through in each room. At the same time, we’ve added modern comforts—sleek bathrooms, fast wifi, TV with Netflix, efficient air conditioning, and contemporary furnishings—so you can enjoy all the charm of the past without sacrificing today’s cozy conveniences.

Šibenik’s Waterfront (called Riva in Croatian) is a vibrant, sea-adjacent promenade at the heart of 1000 years old town, celebrated for its stunning Adriatic vistas, historic stone façades, and lively café and restaurant culture. Michellin starred restaurant is few hundred meters away, next to renaissance Cathedral of St James in the heart of old town. Lined with palm-shaded benches and glazed stone tile pathways, Šibenik offers the perfect setting for both tranquil morning strolls and festive evening gatherings.
