Holiday home Plat CX is situated in the center of the small village of Plat near the village Belej on the island Cres (Croatia). To the village leads 3 km long asphalted road from the main road of the island. At the site of the old family house "Cotić" we built a new 150 m2 big house and equipped with everything the guest needs for comfort, relaxation and enjoyment as it is located in an urban environment, but in fact is surrounded by the peace and beauty of the somewhat wild nature. From every window and the courtyard is beautiful panorama of the sea, the islands of Krk, Rab, Pag and mountain Velebit in the background, but also a view of the nearby church of St. Augustine and stone walls (dry stone walls) fenced plots with grazing herds of sheep. Our day begins with beautiful sunrises behind the mountain Velebit. The sea and islands are permanent eye-catching, a night fascinates clearly visible Milky Way and thousands of stars. You can go for a walk around the surrounding area and meet some wild animals as deer, hedgehogs, land turtles... NO dangerous snakes. Allergic to the stinging of bee should bring medicins in case of need- we are still surround by real nature :-)

In this village we work a secular job of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers and keep the family heritage for future generations. In the expanses of the east side of the island of Cres, to the suburbs of sage, thyme, immortelle and other herbs we have been raising sheep .... The village of Plat is becoming more and more renovated but our family is one of the two who still really lives the whole year in this almost abandoned village.

The nearest coast offers two beautiful bays with a sandy bottom and turquoise crystal clear water ... ideal for all category of swimmers, divers with mask wiht snorkel….To reach the bay Lučica and most popular sandy bay Meli it needs 20 minutes of easy walking. Plat is equally distant (30 min by car) from town Cres (island Cres) and town Mali Lošinj (island Lošinj). In these towns are large shopping centers, but you can also buy everything you need in the nearby smaller places as Osor (10 min by car) and Nerezine (15 min by car). Nearest village Belej (5 min by car) has daily fresh bread and basic groceries. Restaurants with delicious food, fresh fish or domestic island lamb are in Belej, Osor, Nerezine, Mali Lošinj, Veli Lošinj, Cres, Martinšćica...
