Hi! I’m Matthias Ivan, born in Germany but a proud local of Rab. I host 10 vacation rentals on Rab and 1 in Rijeka. I love outdoor sports, our homegrown red wine, and sharing the beauty of the island. I also organize boat trips, sunset cruises, watersports, ATV tours, and wine & olive garden experiences. Residence Astoria is perfectly located in the charming historic center of Rab, just steps away from the town’s main squares. Whether you arrive by car or bus (approx. 250 m) or by catamaran from Rijeka (approx. 60 m), the property is easy to find—look for the distinctive yellow building with green “ASTORIA” lettering. Staying at Residence Astoria means everything is right at your doorstep: beaches, shops, bars, and restaurants are all within walking distance. Guests can also enjoy our on-site facilities: • Restaurant Astoria (1st floor): 10% discount on cash payments for house guests • Ground floor café: Perfect for morning coffee and breakfast Important note for Apartment 33 (“Apartment with Terrace”): The terrace is not directly connected to the apartment. It is private and accessible only to you, but requires a short walk (approximately 4 steps) through the hallway. Enjoy comfort, convenience, and an authentic old-town atmosphere at Residence Astoria.

This central location gives you more freedom to explore, relax, and experience everything the island has to offer—from historical landmarks to charming evening strolls through lively streets. The city beach starts just about 50 meters behind the house, making it easy to combine seaside relaxation with old-town charm throughout the day. For guests arriving by car, a free parking space is provided (license plate required). The parking area is approximately a 9-minute walk from the apartment, accessible via the picturesque main street and a pleasant shaded path alongside the tennis courts.
