Šilo waters are perfect for snorkeling and diving with the famous Peltastis shipwreck just offshore-an exciting spot for divers. Daily ferry connections to Crikvenica on the mainland make for an enjoyable day trip. Šilo is also a great base to explore the rest of Krk: Vrbnik - A picturesque medieval town perched on a cliff, known for its narrow streets(including the world’s narrowest!)and Žlahtina white wine. Krk Town - The island’s capital, offering a blend of history and modernity, with its Frankopan Castle, Cathedral of the Assumption, and charming waterfront promenade. Baška - Famous for its long sandy beach and hiking trails, as well as the historic Baška Tablet, one of Croatia’s most important Glagolitic inscriptions. Biserujka Cave - a fascinating underground cave near Rudine, featuring impressive stalactites and stalagmites.
